Scrappy New Year!

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone’s 2023 is off to a great start! I have had a wonderful time with all my kids home over the past couple of weeks, and we survived the Arctic Blast! We even got some snow, which here in Alabama is never guaranteed! I have enough photos for a scrapbook layout though, which is what matters!

I’m coming to you on a Monday this time because today is a holiday for the CM Home Office, which means our new product launch will be tomorrow - Tuesday, January 3, at noon Central.

There are LOTS of things happening as we head into the new year, so find a comfy spot and settle down to read on (I promise I try to be brief!)

Be aware that the midmonth update email might be a bit late next time - I am going out to Laguna Beach to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday and I’m not sure that I’ll be able to tear myself away long enough to send an email! Thanks for understanding!

Happy Album

We are building a great group for our Happy Album Circle, both in person and online. If you would like to join us, the in-person events will be monthly on the first Tuesday and the virtual events will be on the first Wednesday. Our “kickoff” events where we will set up our album for the year will be on Tuesday, January 10 (in person) and Wednesday, January 11 (virtual) so if you want to get going at the start of the year you’ll need to purchase your Happy Album products right away! Beginner Class

How did you learn about scrapbooking? For many people, it was through a Creative Memories beginner class! CM is realizing that there are too many people out there who haven’t had that opportunity yet! So this year I will be focusing on helping people get started, and if you have a friend who is interested, I would love to have you come along with them to a beginner/refresher class!

Happy Album Circle: Our final 2022 session scheduled for tomorrow night (January 3) has been canceled due to the majority of the group being out of town this week. The 2023 group will launch as described in the previous section. (I’ll be working on my December photos at the regular crops this week!)

Wednesday Day Crops: (Almost) Every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. $10.00. January 4, 11, 18, February 1. (I’ll be out of town the last week of the month so no crop on the 25th).

Layout Class: Third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. January 16. This month we will be doing the Tropic Time and a Mystery Project Recipe!

Twice monthly Weekend Crops: Friday from noon - 9 pm and/or Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
1st January Crop: January 6 & 7
2nd January Crop: January 20 & 21

THREE Promos this month!

Let’s kick off the new year with two ways to earn free product, and one way to get a discount on the new items! We’ll start with the Totally Tonals:

Once again CM is offering quarterly Totally Tonal mini collections, but this year they’ve made some improvements! This quarter’s offerings coordinate with three of our newest solid cardstock colors AND the paper packs are full 12 packs instead of the half packs. To make embellishing your layouts easier, many of the stickers are sized to fit perfectly within shapes punched from the new Circle and Square Punches!

Album Promo

It’s become a tradition in January for CM to do an album cover promo, and this year it includes 8x8 albums! Purchase any combination of albums or album covers (including Fast2Fab!) in either 12x12 or 8x8 and you’ll get to choose one of three exclusive album covers as a free bonus gift.

Another tradition is that they’ve chosen some of the bookcloth colors that previously have only been available on foiled decorative albums and for a limited time you can get those colors in a plain album! These are available for the duration of the promo, January 6-23 (starts and ends at noon!)

New Products

New products and both promos launch at NOON Central time on TUESDAY, January 3. If you are local and would like to have me order any of these items for you, please EMAIL ME, and you can pick them up at one of my cropping events. If you are not local or prefer the convenience of having your order delivered to your door, I certainly appreciate your orders via my website.

CM has been working hard on the website issues and later this month will be implementing a “queueing” system which will hold your place in line and hopefully keep the frustration of dealing with an overwhelmed website from hitting us again! It’s not ready quite yet but this shouldn’t be a “record breaking” launch so hopefully we can survive one more launch day without a queue!

Creative Memories is making a big push to reach out to new customers this year and as part of their Beginner Class kits they are offering this exclusive Woven Scallops Border Maker Cartridge. Although these are not limited release, they are NOT going to be available on the customer websites, because CM’s goal is to connect people with an Advisor who can not only sell them supplies, but teach them what to do with them!

However - you guys are already connected with an Advisor! Me! So if you would like to order one of these, I will mail it to you. Please contact me BY EMAIL and I will place the order and get these sent off later in the month.
